Quality Spas, Swim Spas & Saunas for Lovedale Properties
Lovedale sits in a quiet pocket of the Hunter Valley that’s done well to hold onto its character. Boutique wineries, small cellar doors, rural blocks, and properties where the view out the back window is almost always vines or open paddock. It’s one of those areas where people who visit once tend to come back, and people who own here tend to stay.
A good spa suits that lifestyle. Low fuss, high enjoyment, built to last.
Just Spas Newcastle supplies and installs quality spas, swim spas, urban pools, saunas and wellness ice baths across Lovedale and the neighbouring Hunter Valley areas. Our showroom is in Gateshead — about an hour away by road, depending on where exactly your property sits. We deliver to Lovedale regularly, along with nearby Pokolbin, Rothbury, North Rothbury, Allandale and the back roads that run through the area.
Why Lovedale Properties Suit a Spa
A few things work in your favour here.
The setting. Most Lovedale homes have a view worth looking at — vineyards, bushland, open rural blocks, or a mix. A spa positioned to take advantage of that view gets used a lot more than one tucked behind a fence. We’ve placed spas on north-facing decks that overlook vines, on stone terraces beside older homesteads, and beside renovated cottages where the outdoor area was the whole point of the renovation.
The quiet. Lovedale is properly peaceful. You can actually hear the birds and the breeze out here, which changes how a spa gets used. It’s not background noise for the TV. It’s the thing you’re paying attention to.
The climate. Hunter Valley winters are colder than people from outside the region expect. Frost on the vines, cold mornings, proper layering weather. A spa during those months is genuinely useful, not just a novelty. Summer evenings also cool down enough that a warm soak in the last of the daylight feels right — not hot, just right.
Private Homes and Short-Stay Rentals
Lovedale attracts two main types of spa buyers. The split isn’t always 50/50 but it’s close.
Residents and weekenders. Owners who live here permanently or use the property as a regular escape from Newcastle, the Central Coast or Sydney. For this group, the spa is about daily or weekly use — recovery after a walk through the vines, a quiet soak with a glass of local wine, winter nights that would otherwise be spent inside.
Short-stay property owners. Lovedale has a solid short-stay market, especially for smaller group bookings — couples getaways, small milestone weekends, wedding anniversary trips. If you run a cottage or villa here, a quality spa is one of the top-performing additions you can make. Guests actively search for spa properties. Reviews consistently rate spa stays higher than non-spa stays. And the nightly rate difference more than justifies the investment over a couple of years.
We’ve supplied a fair few properties across the Lovedale and Pokolbin area. Happy to talk through which models handle commercial short-stay use best, and which finishes are easier to maintain between guest turnovers.
What We Stock for Lovedale Customers
Portable spas — the core of our range. Sizes start at 2.1m x 1.6m for couples or compact spaces, and go up to 3.5m x 2.3m for larger homes or rental properties that host groups. Australian-made, insulated properly for Hunter Valley winters, built to last 15 to 20 years with sensible maintenance.
Swim spas — a sensible choice for Lovedale blocks where you want to swim regularly but don’t want the footprint or maintenance of a full concrete pool. 4m, 5m and 6m models available. Dual-zone units give you counter-current swim jets at one end and a hot spa at the other.
Urban pools — 4m, 6m and 8m. These sit between a swim spa and a traditional pool — proper length for swimming, built on a spa shell so the running costs stay reasonable.
Infrared saunas — a growing category in the Lovedale area, particularly for wellness-focused short-stay properties and private owners who want recovery without the harshness of traditional sauna heat.
Traditional saunas — available for those who prefer the old-school experience.
Wellness ice baths — serious-quality units. Contrast therapy (hot spa plus cold plunge) is increasingly popular with health-conscious owners and a genuine drawcard for certain short-stay guests.
Gazebos, Bali huts, accessories, parts — to finish the outdoor area and keep your setup running long-term.
Delivery to Lovedale
Lovedale deliveries are part of our regular run. The main roads — Lovedale Road, Wilderness Road, Wine Country Drive — are familiar ground for our delivery team.
A few things worth flagging about rural property deliveries:
Gravel driveways. Common out here. Not an issue, we just plan for it.
Low trees and narrow gates. Let us know on the enquiry form and we’ll check the route beforehand.
Crane lifts. If the spa needs to go onto an elevated deck, around a pool, or over a fence where there’s no vehicle access, we can coordinate it. We’ll give you the real cost before you commit.
Most Lovedale installs are single-visit jobs. Delivered, placed, levelled, electrically connected (via a licensed electrician — yours or a local we trust), filled, balanced, and handed over the same day.
Finance for Private and Commercial Buyers
Interest-free finance available through Zip Money and Humm90 for approved applicants. Commercial and short-stay property owners can ask about ABN-based options that may work better than personal finance.
Come in, call, or enquire — we’ll walk you through the options honestly.
Long-Term Support
A spa is a 15 to 20 year investment. You want a supplier who’s still going to be picking up the phone in year eight.
We’ve been in Gateshead for years. Same team. Same number. We stock parts for the brands we sell, and most service issues can be sorted over the phone without anyone needing to drive out. When a visit is genuinely needed, we do runs to the Lovedale area regularly.
For short-stay operators, we treat commercial callouts as priority. A non-working spa means lost bookings and refund requests. We get that.
Come See the Range
For a decision this significant, the showroom visit is worth making. Sitting in a few spas in person is the only way to really know what suits you. Jet configurations, seat depths, recline angles, shell fit — none of that translates well through a screen.
The drive from Lovedale down to Gateshead is about an hour. Easy run, especially if you pair it with lunch on the way back.
